87 braking problem (pedal hard to press)

Hey folks, I have a 1987 GXL, I went to drive her last night and the brake pedal is very hard to press and hard to stop the car. Fluid good, I checked the power booster and seems to be working correctly. When I looked at the driver side front calipar, one of the pistons was not retracting. I removed the dust boot and re-tightened it seems to be on correctly. Any suggestions?

By the way, I'm pretty new to this site and have found it very useful. Thanks in advance..

check the booster vacuum hose. it seams to be a booster or master pump trouble.

The booster vacuum hose seems to be working fine but I don't know how much pressure it's suppose to give off. It's not a lot of pressure.

Anyway, I took off all the calipars and going to overhaul them. I also took off the master and it looks okay. I guess i'll take it one step at a time.

The car is 23 years old and everything looks like the original. Won't hurt to start replacing eveything.

Thanks
