86 Rx7 Fc non-turbo Startup problems?
So to start up the problem I have experienced...
The car cranks just fine but sometimes after a second or third shut off it stops cranking
I assumed the spark plugs might have gone bad and replaced them.
The problem continues and at the worse possible times so I think maybe the fuel filter is getting clogged and once I start to replace it the rain starts for 3 days straight, Now for the heck of it I decided to just replace my gas cap because the old locking one was annoying *you cant even open my gas cover from the outside. *
This is where I get confused :| Now my car cranks just fine, after it warmed up i shut it off and turned it back on a good 40 times within an hour. Could the gas cap have really caused that big of an issue? I mean I know they need pressure in the tanks but the seal on the other cap looks fine.
(P.s. Still replacing all my filters anyway just to be on the safe side)
But I'm really confused as to why it had trouble cranking then now its perfectly fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When you say it "stops cranking"... Do you mean that you cannot hear the starter spinning anymore?
If this is the case, you should check your starter wiring. Because your problem may not have gone away.

Sorry I should have been more specific, It still turns over and everything but sometimes it takes its notion to just die and not crank back up for afew hours, where other times it works fine
