Hello, i have a 86 rx7 that was FI now its carb, but im having issues.
-engine is fully rebuild
-stock 6 port engine
-DHLA 48 i was told it came out of a 13b but i havent check the jets yet
i did clean the carb and put in a new service kit.
-holley low fuel pressure regulator
-in line fuel pump from cb performance 3 1/2lbs
-3/8 fuel hoses

OK now i did have the car running for a short time but it was really low on idle and at the time i was using a red big end fuel pump...and i think that fuel pump was way to strong so i went and bought the in line fuel pump from cb performance.

now im running the in line fuel pump sucking gas from the stock fuel pump to the carb. i have the fuel pressure set at 2.5psi but the car still wont start im not sure what else to do plz help.

i have the same set up with a 6 port and dell carb. The fuel system is very important. you need to have a holly blue or equivalant pump drawind from the fuel tank directly, not through an exsting pump and to have a pressure regulator in line to get pressure at 7 psi, i set mine up with a fuel return also.

search the archives for dellarto 101, you will find very specific instruction I have given to get it to work really well. I have spent many dollars in tuning to get this set up to work.
