I'm thinking about buying an 86 rx-7 and am new to the cars. I went and test drove it and it would not accelerate past 4000 rpms. The car is a manual and in neutral it will rev up past it, but in gear it will not go past, almost as if it were a rev limiter. Could this be because the car was not warmed up enough?
