There is no way to "diagnose" something as vague as this. If you don't know how to run down a short, you really need to get that car into a shop that specializes in electrical problems in automobiles. Really. Before you burn that car to the ground.

One likely place to look at is the Black ground wire coming from the two wire plug at the Main Relay. If this ground is circumspect/problematic then it would terminate voltage to the coils, injectors and ECU among other things. The Black ground wire runs from the relay to a plastic plug housing a handful of various grounds that then plug into a metal ground plug that is bolted to the strut housing/fender just below and to the side of the trailing coil. Clean up this ground plug and check the Black wire at the two wire plug connected to the relay.

I agree with mar3 but before you do that make sure its not just your battery terminals make sure they are tight even a little loose can cause problems so just check them before you pay to have your car inspected

Does the engine cut out when it happens? It doesnt sound like a ground problem id be looking for a problem with a main power feed, try checking the main fusible links, a bad connection there will cause that problem. Also, with everything turned on, go around and wiggle all the main connections you can get to easily and see if everything cuts out.

If what is stated in post #3 occurs, then the engine would "completely die."
The Black wire running from the positive battery terminal to the engine fuse box could also cause this problem as well if it became loose in addition to the Black wire connected to the other side of this fuse box. Make sure both of these are secure and if the car dies again then immediately check these wires for voltage (no key necessary) before doing "anything" else.

ok checked batt terms they r fine, also checked main fuse all tight there.
tomorrow will clean the metal ground plug on strut tower.
yes tweeny the engine cuts off then comes right back on, all gauges die like the ignition has been turned off the it all comes back to life again.
it does not happen with every bump just now and then
its like i have turned the key off then on again

Make sure the Black ground wire at the Main relay itself is in good condition and not just the other end of the wire. Also, if you want to rule out the Main Relay ground as the culprit you can disconnect the 4 wire plug to the Main Relay, leaving it unplugged and jumper the B/G to B/Y and the W/L to B/W wire in this plug and it will bypass the relay. If the problem persits then the relay can be ruled out as the cause. Unplugging the 4 wire plug and jumpering the two different set of wires will eventually cause the battery to drain low so remember to unjumper the two jumpers after testing the car and replug it back into the relay.
