86 gxl fc swap

hey guys im new to this forum but i have a 86 rx7 gxl non turbo with a blown rotary engine, i am thinking about buying a turbo 2 but im not doing the engine swap so idk witch turbo 2 would be easiest to put in it, it has bad wiring in it idk whats wrong but the gauges dont work and the warning lights on the dash don't ether, they did work when i got the car but now they don't work, i can get 2 different turbo 2 engines i just don't know witch one is best for the 86 fc gxl, i can get a 13B-T S4 turbo 2 with a cut harness, or a 89-91 JDM 13B-T S5 ROTARY ENGINE, 5SPD RWD, ECU, UNCUT HARNESS, soo please any info will help, i am also wondering about boost controllers.

OK, OK. That post is sort of everywhere so can you maybe break down your questions a little into something we can understand? Proper wording, good sentence structure and spelling help a lot.

I can sort of try to answer though. First, stick with an S4 TII engine if you have an S4 car unless you are planning to heavily modify it and run a standalone. There are too many wiring differences between S4 and S5 to make a direct swap easy.

The gauge lights and warning lights are part of the body harness, which don't matter if you are swapping the engine into an NA. You just care about the emissions harness (the one that connects to the ECU).

This is well documented in the 2nd gen FAQ: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...55#post5131155. All FAQs are stickied at the top of this section.
