Question 86 fc n/a new here help me bridgeport

i have a 86 rx7 with many extras and now i hear i can bridgeport my engine. if anyone could help me with this and also how to get alot more outa my car please help me out i will post all mods and addons later with pictures and all.

There is a long and complicated answer, but it all boils down to one thing: If you have to ask, then don't bridgeport your engine. Just trust me.

Question

yo thank you i already found a place to port my engine something im not capable of doing myself. i read about many dif. port types i will wait till i fix the vibration in my rear end. actually i thinkits a cv that has a hard spot. i drift my car and in the middle of spinning tires they just stop and i go as slow as i was going but with no wheel spin. is this my cv or is this something else such as the drive shaft or whatnot. it also vibrates slighty at 34 mph and up to 100 but just a lil humming and barely vibrations can be felt can u or anyone help me thank you for posting b4

Yes, stick with a streetport. Going to a bridgeport is like opening a can of worms. To make it work correctly you'll need a new intake manifold, open exhaust (loud!!) and a standalone EMS system.

ok i will look into street porting. now i only have one precat on my car and stock mufflers i have these jdm ones i want toput on but should i take out the cat (its the one right after the o2 sensor) or leave it so the 5th and 6th per. ports will open? and any idea about the humming slight vibration in read end. thanks once again.

If you need the car to pass emissions at any point I would leave the aux. ports operational. Keep the air pump (I've been told removing it doesn't free up much power anyways), and the cat with the backpressure pipe so the aux. ports still work.

The humming could be the start of bad wheel bearings. I just replaced both of the rear ones on my convertible. I would also suggest at any time you do the wheel bearings (if that turns out to be the case) to also replace the suspension bushings either with a polyurethane kit or the stock bushings. When the hubs come off, often times so will the rubber bushings lol.
The polyurethane kit will make your suspension firmer but since you've been drifting the car I assume you don't really care about that.

The vibration is most likely the driveshaft U-joints, since these are pretty common to go bad.
Take it to a shop and ask them to check the rear of the car over if that's where you're sure the noise is coming from. You don't need a rotary-specific shop for that. they'll probably need to sound scope the bearings, unless they were as bad as mine and you're physically able to move the wheel around when it's up in the air lol.

thank you sounds like my driveshaft ujoints are out my driveshaft rotates and inch each way so id assume that is my problem. and my car does not have the air pump hooked up and only the precat no main cat but i hear 86 na doesnt need the air pump just exhuast back pressure
