I have a 1985 mazda rx7 thats been parked for 10 years that I would like to get going.Put a new bat in it the clutch is stock down but then engine will not turn over. When we pulled it to the workshop the tires just dragged.I beleive the engine is locked up any ideas?
Thanks

If you had the car in neutral and the wheels were dragging, it is probably the parking brake is seized up (rear brakes). For the engine not turning over, you will need to tell us more. Is the starter trying to turn it over, but can't? Can you put a socket on the front engine pulley and turn the engine over by hand (remember to put transmission in neutral)?

The engine could be seized ue to carbon buildup, but there are some methods for working it free. However, it seems like you may have more than one thing going on here. We will need more info to figure it out, though.

Sounds like it is carbon locked. The one I just bought was the same way. Do a search on carbon locked on this forum and it will tell you what to do. I used MMO on mine and it worked.
