84 rx-7 guage cluster or pods

Hey all id love some feed back on ideas or pre made pod assembly or cluster for my 84 13b. I did recently remove blower Motor and all a/c components car is a summer show car so not to much need. But I'm looking for a clean look for (oil temp and pressure, water temp) those are the only ones I'm focusing on at the moment. Since I did the delete of air flow I was considering removing the temp adjustment dials center council by radio. Any and all ideas would be approciated. Don't have to much experience fabricating but I know I can do it with some good direction! Thanks guys!

Here is what I did. I took a single DIN radio sleeve and used it to determine the space for the radio. I then took a broken center console and removed the circle area. Then flipped it upside down. This gave me a factory edge for the up of the radio. I used JB weld and attached everything and sanded down.

Not shown is the final paint with gauges installed. I used iEquus 2 1/8" electrical gauges. I did have to make the gauge opening a little bit bigger with a dremel. The gauges I used have a basal that goes on the outside and screws on the the gauge face so I had some leeway with respect to the gauge opening. The paint Rust-Oleum Universal Advanced Formula Metallic paint. Color is Flat Soft Iron. It's a primer and paint in one.

When cutting up the old console, be very careful because this plastic can become very brittle. This can be caused by age or the use of lacquer thinner from me cleaning it. When this happens, I used a paper clip and cut a small 1" piece off and then heated it and embedded it in the creaked area and then JB welded.

One note. My original console face plate was very nice so I decided to set it as-sided and not use it. I used a couple of spares I had. This way If I ever want to go back to factory I still have the original one.

That's really nice. Previous owner kinda botched mine with the radio so I might just use the 3 2" diameter climate control holes and do as you said dremel the edges and the face plate of the guage will hide it. I'm looking for an original consol face plate and stock radio, I don't need to listen to it I just love the retro look haha
