Where do I find the AC fittings on my 83? I know automitve HVAC systems pretty well having designed the HVAC components on the 1st generation Ford Focus. What am I missing?

 

I hate to sound like a smartass to someone who has designed the AC system on the 1st gen Ford Focus, but have you tried asking a local A/C shop? The fittings are all pretty standard and all the shops around here have them. I'm sure that aftermarket suppliers like Vintage Air carries them as well.

 

Not looking where to buy them, just where they are on the vehicle. Do you charge the system from the ports on the compressor?

 

BTW, I have not found a single shop (including Mazda dealerships) around the Detroit metro area that will touch a rotary engine.
