Is it supposed to freewheel at the bottom or top of travel? Or does it lock up at that point. I'm sure mine is jacked to some degree just can't figure out how it's supposed to function correctly. Right now mine will push the sunroof up ok, but if I go over a bump the sunroof hops a little. When I screw it down, it goes down some, but not tight like I'm expecting it to.

all of mine stop turning when they get into position, and the clunking over bumps is normal.

 

i know how to break into your car...j/k. i had one like that. someone over tightened it and now it only works to cycle the sunroof up. the internals arent broke but it will never lock down like you want again. osrry
