WA 82 GS electrical death

so i posted this thread 3 times from my smartphone app and it never showed up.. so im gonna try to keep this short and sweet. got an s4 leading coil pack, followed several write ups for hooking it up for 2gcdfis w/o the TT. pretty sure i wired things correctly, hooked it up, turned the key and dash lights flickered on but i completely lost power. my headlights work im assuming due to the fusible link but i have no running lights, no brake lights, no horn. no electrical. so i switched back to stock. nothing. no power except for headlights. okay, must be an ignitor or alt right? nope. swapped my ignitors and alt from my spare gsl, nothing. checked my 15A engine fuse and replaced it. nothing. usually when i connect the negative terminal to the post i get a small click noise or aspark because the circuit is completed. now i get no noise, no spark. nothing. debating on removing my + & - cables and terminals from my gsl and seeing if that will help. probably grab the starter too. im completely lost. maybe someone with more knowledge and experience can come save the day. i have no idea where to even look now. also, i noticed the pos and neg cables lead to something on the bottom of the block. im assuming this is the stsrter. do our cars have a solenoid/voltage regulator? what should my next step be? please help! ive been trying.to get coils for months and finally got them hooked up and jumped in my car all excited to go.cruise and my happiness was turned into despair with the turn of a key.

It sounds like you shorted out when you turned the key,and that means you didn't wire things up correctly.
You should have fusible links in that Car.
I'm not exactly sure, they could be on the Driver's side strut tower area?.
I'll BUMP this up for more exposure so you can get your answer.
By the way if you can post using some Capitals so that the thread doesn't look like a big One sentence mess, it would be helpful so others can read it.
Thanks.STYX.

So i figured out that it was my main fusible link. I have looked at several wiring diagrams and am certain I wired the coil pack correctly, but for some reason it keeps burning through fuses when i turn the key. I have the top of the ballast resistor connected to my stock negative wires for leading. The bottom of the ballast resistor is connected to my negative for the 2gen coil pack. The + from stock leading coil goes to + on coil pack. L1 and L2 are hooked up correctly, T moves to L and T1/T2 to L1/L2 on the dizzy. But it keeps frying a fuse. Any ideas?

have you started a "frenzy search" in the 1st Gen archives and specific sections?.
Though I am 2nd gen I always go to those Specific sections and read, read, read.
I know more about my car than I actually care to!..makes me wanna get a bike.

Unfortunately I have >.< i searched for several hours before i decided to make this post. Its pretty frustrating cuz it seems no one has had this problem. I tried hooking it up without the ballast resistor, still wants to fry the fuse. Im banking on a dead coil now..
