79 rx7 help

When i click the button to open rear glass hatch all i hear is like a clicking sound what could this mean is it a bad motor or do I just hot to grease it. Also if I open it with the key then it will open

If you hear the clicking that means your actuator is most likely working. You could try propping the hatch open, then using a screw driver to close the latch, then press the button to see if the latch releases.

i had a similar problem except when i got the car there was a build up of dust and grease in the actuator and it had jammed up and was clicking when i pressed the button
