'79 carb problem
'79 carb problem
New member and I'm not all that up on how to use this site!
I just inherited a 1979 RX7 that has been sitting in a garage since 1993 . Of course the gas was bad(on a nearly full tank!). So I removed and cleaned the tank. I've done a good bit of car work in the past but carb removal and disassembly has to be one of the most difficult I have ever done! Carb is totally shot. I found an '83 carb but linkages, vacuum lines and various parts are not the same.
As a total RX7 idiot, I have no idea which carbs will fit on my '79 without huge complications and interchange of components. Also does anyone have a good source for carbs? After experiencing the disassembly, I'm not so sure I would trust myself putting it back together and expecting it to work!
Any info would be greatly appreciated! KOB7150
