So i got a s4 not too long ago and i pulled out the transmission last night but i noticed 2 wires that were cut off from some kind of 4 wire sensor. Now when i check the manual to see what this sensor is.. Apparently 2 wires are for the "Back-up Light" but the other two (which are the cut wires on mine) are for "5th Gear Switch"..Now why would a manual transmission need a "5th Gear Switch"???????? I'm just curious what this switch actually does? and what kind of affect is it going to have on my FC if i don't hook it back up??? because my FC seemed to be running just fine without it.
