4bbl Conversion
In the process of building a class project 89 na convertible and wanted to switch to a 4 bbl carb and intake. The wiring harness has been damaged and the ECU was pulled out. Question, is what sort of ignition system is available if the ECU was eliminated or can it be?

Wrong wheel drive **D
Is that generally it? I was looking into twin weber 50MM for my 88 n/a. I knew I needed carbs, intake mani, venturis, an ignition solution, and a FPR... I couldnt think of anything else but didnt realize it was that simple.

Oil Metering
Thanks for the info on the CAS and Gen 1 Distributor. I have a 1st gen distributor already. Next Question: How do you solve the oil metering issue on a Gen 2 without the ECU?

Just out of curiosity, why are you downgrading the car to a carb?
As for the metering oil pump, you can convert to the mechanical style S4 pump by swapping on an S4 front cover (as well as water pump housing and water pump) and the fabricating the rod which actuates it from the throttle body.
Premix is another option, and since the car will already be very annoying to drive from the approximately 30% torque loss below 4000 RPM due to the carb conversion, adding the annoyance of premix might not be a big deal.

Aaron thanks for the kidney punches. It looks like I might be swayed to a JDM TII swap. Iv'e read a few of your posts and I am old enough to learn from other peoples mistakes / trials / experience.
