3rd gen fd won't run after startup
3rd gen fd won't run after startup
Hi all. Now I have got my oil pressure problem solved I am onto the next problem.
The car is a 3rd gen and has been sat for 2 years, it ran last year for 20 seconds which was when the oil pressure problem stopped it being run again.
I have replaced the spark plugs and bought a ecu of the same year vehicle.
It starts now misfires a lot and runs for about 2 to 3 seconds, then Dies.
I'm thinking fuel pump, filter, I'm not sure how to bypass the fuel pump relay to rule that out.
Another thing I'm thinking is from previous experience I had a similar problem with a different car, it turned out to be the immobiliser kicking in and knocking the fuel pump out.
Any help appreciated

Another quick question, in the cat they have a sensor maybe a exhaust temp sensor?
Well mine got ripped off on the trailer, I'm going to re wire it back in but not sure if the aftermarket exhaust has a hole for it

flush the tank, test pressure and verify the pump is good. its likely the pump went bad from sitting in rotten gas, which gas hopefully is no longer in there. there is a drain plug on the tank to completely drain and refill it.
the port on the cat is for air injection, it is not super important but it does help emissions and cat life.
