2ndgen guru's ! ~~ Bad logicon or demons in my wiring? I'm freezing!!

First, yes I did search the forums, however I did not find anyone with an issue similar to mine.

Anyways to keep this short i get no heat and the airflow selector thing does not work at all yet I can control the fan speed. I am not great with electrical stuff so I have no clue what to check next and I dont have access to a haynes manual.

I remember reading somewhere that a "heater resistor" controls both the heater and the airflow selector thing, and that its behind the glove box somewhere, but I can't seem to remember where I read this.

I'd like to take this moment to remind everyone reading this that in the New Member Tech board, "search" is not an acceptable reply. Although we have the sticky's to read and some FAQ pages here, any time a new member asks a question, we need to answer it if we've taken the time to open the thread and know the answer or something close to it. If you want to link to previous threads that have already answered the question, feel free to do so if it's too tedious to type a complete answer.

But don't reply that the question has been asnwered before, please.

Having said all of that, I have no clue how to help you here.

Let's see if any 2ndgen or 3rdgen guru's can help. Since this board has no generational splits, it's important to tell us what YEAR RX-7 you have.

mine is kinda weird also, I have heat but i can only use it if i hit the air recycle button that's the only way the heat will come on. I was thinking about trying a different logicon but have not come across any yet.

@mar3
Just stating that in case I did miss it as there where some other results in my search, but where part of other threads so I did not take a look at them.
That and generally in most other forums people do have a tendency to overlook things and older members get annoyed by answering the same questions.

Also sorry for not mentioning the year, it's a 1986 RX.

@a2dadamm
I've tried every button on my logicon in hopes of getting heat... This morning was absolutely horrible, I had to take my father to his car which is having clutch issues once again so he could wait for the towing company to pick it up, and the windows kept getting icy from the humidity of our breaths.

I changed your title to draw in some of the 2ndgen electrical guru's...it's getting too darn cold to keep playing around with that.

Haha, Thanks Mar.

I actually got done with attempting to replace the relay in my wiper switch, sadly one of the copper peices got pulled out. Dunno how though, all the solder was sucked up with the vacuum tool I found at radio shack. Thankfully all I cared about was getting setting 1 and 2 working as I rarely needed to use intermittent.

Still gotta figure out whats wrong with my heater though
