2nd gen rx7 problems

So I have a 2nd gen vert n/a and I'm having issues when I press on the gas. It bogs pretty bad and looses power. I've research and seen that it could be the tps sensor. A new tps sensor is pretty pricey. So I was wondering can I adjust the sensor? Or do I have to buy one? Thanks guys
