Question 1st Gen not turning over

Hey guys! I was driving my 84 gsl and after parking it overnight it will not start. I am curious if anyone has seen this. I found out that I had a bad coil. I replaced the coil, and figured I would also replace the rotor, car, plugs, and wires. I still have the same problem. It is trying to turn over but the engine simply will not fire up. This is so odd to me that i can't get it to turn over especially since I was driving is daily for about a week straight. Any ideas will be helpful. Thanks!

If the weather is even slightly cold, you've flooded the engine. There's a couple of excellent threads in this very board on how to get a 1stgen with the stock Nikki carburetor cranked up again from this all too familiar situation. Try your hand with the search engine and we'll see who finds a good link to read first.

Here you go...best one out of the bunch:

Thanks for the help! There was a number of things that were wrong (timing being one of them). I will note my problems and post them...maybe they will be of use to someone with a similar problem.

how is it that u've been driving it for a week straight and now the timing is wrong? first thing is u need to be clear which problem u have. either it wont turn over or it spins over just fine, just wont fire.
