1st gen 85--How to access pushbutton lights in A/C-Heater Unit?
1st gen 85 12A;
My A/C-Heater unit has the pushbuttons (not the sliders), and if possible I'd like to reach the lights *behind* the buttons...
Not sure if they're LEDs or bulbs, but boy are they dim!
The lights actually all still work, as does the unit itself; I'm just interested in making the light-up pushbuttons brighter when they're on.
1) Is it possible to access the lights in the buttons?
2) Do the buttons pull straight off....? Obviously I'd like to confirm whether this is true before I go to town with a pair of pliers!
3) If they're accessible--are they replaceable? I would like to replace the existing lights (assuming they're bulbs) with brighter modern LED bulbs (which I've been doing throughout the interior).
Thanks for any input!

I think I figured this out...
Saw in diagram 2-J7 of the BODY.pdf doc at rotaryheads that I can access the bulbs by removing the Logicon unit.
Interesting that the bulbs aren't associated with each switch; I'll see how things look with some high intensity LED replacements.
