1993 RX7 may need engine repair
I have a 93 Rx7. Recently I noticed some coolant on garage floor. After taking to local mechanic, he indicated that he smelled / noticed coolant exiting from exhaust. His thought is possible engine seal issue. Unfortunately, neither he or my local Mazda dealer are capable of complete diagnosis and repair. I live in NE Ohio and would be looking for a quality repair service between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Any thoughts, mechanic help, etc would be greatly appreciated. The car has about 23000 miles, so it's in great condition.
thanks, Mark

Banzai racing is over in Pierceton Indiana, I know it's a bit further than you had indicated, but they've been in this game a LONG time and can help you out.
Make sure whoever you end up picking is well vetted and has a long standing history specifically working on rx7s. I would never trust a general mechanic at this point as most have zero experience working on rotary engines.

Hate to say it but it sounds like your coolant seals are failing, and I agree with Kyle. Don't let someone convince you they know how to work on rotary engines. Check out the shop and if you don't see any old school Mazdas, you're outta there. Banzai Racing has a great rep.
Also, there ARE vendors here that can get you a new crate engine from Mazda. It won't be cheap, but neither is a 23,000 mile FD.
Welcome to the club and congrats on the 7. Some pics of it would be killah!

Under certain conditions you will get H20 dripping from the exhaust, just from normal combustion. It may even smell "oily".
Is your coolant level dropping? Are you getting water vapour in the exhaust even after the car is warmed up?
Is there any exhaust bubbles when you observe your coolant flow through the upper radiator cap? Is there any oil residue in your coolant?
Has the car sat for a long time with ethanol blended gas in the tank? The ethanol will attract water.
Certain coolant lines, and their clamps, may age out.
Check the coolant line that warms the throttle body, for instance.
