1993 rhd mazda rx7 steering rack question

Hi guys I know there is a ton of steering rack forums cant find what I'm looking for though. I have a 1993 rhd rx7. I currently have a manual steering rack and would like to replace the pinion and can't find a new rhd one. Does anyone know if I can use the pinion from a lhd and replace mine? I tried to look up steering ratios between lhd and rhd and they appear to be the same. Just hoping someone can confirm this will work. I sent my spare rack to chips motorsports and I think he went out of business so no longer have that rack unfortunately

I'd very much doubt the helix on the pinion would be the same. A complete used rack would probably be cheaper and easier to find than a pinion.

There are like no used rhd racks to be found unless you have a source

Plenty for sale in Japan too - as an example https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp...on/h1129237690 but no doubt double (or more!) in price once landed. Doesn't really matter which year, or colour sticker you get, as they'll all swap. Tie rod end threads changing during production might catch you out, if trying to swap from a different chassis however.
