1993 fd starts for about 2 seconds then cuts out

Hi I bought a 1993 fd around a month ago and starting getting to work today it’s been sat for about 6-7years I changed the plugs and it started for about 2-3 seconds then cuts out I know it’s gettibg a spark so could the issue be with a weak fuel pump? It doesn’t make a noise when the ignition is on which most cars I’ve owned have made a priming noise I’ve checked all connectors hoses that I can find

You say it sat for 6-7 years.
What have your done to get it back into operation?

Have you inspected the fuel tank? Drained it I hope? What's the pump/filter/strainer look like?

It didn’t have any fuel in when I bought it I’ve put new plugs in and put a 1/4 tank of fuel in so far I’m just looking at buying a new pump and a filter and go from there

The oem fuel pump is very quiet in the tank, but I would think you should still hear something when it primes. If its firing at all I would think the pump is working but may be weak or have a clogged filter as you said.

You'll want to take out the hanger and check the pump itself and the status of the inside of the tank after sitting that long. So long as it looks ok and doesnt show signs of rust or anything that could cause an issue tank is likely ok. If water has worked it its way in there over the years sitting it could be bad in there.

Yeah, this was my experience.
My fuel tank, pump, hanger, level sender, filter, lines.... all fubar when I picked up the rolling shell.
Ended up replacing everything with new OEM.

I might have a picture somewhere... let me see if I can dig it up.

Managed to replace the fuel pump today going to do the filter tomorrow when I get a minute it still only runs for a few seconds then cuts I noticed that there are a few vaccuum nipples that haven’t got anything connected to them could this be a problem? I also put a power F.C. in the car as it didn’t have a ecu at all when I bought it could this cause any problems I don’t know a great deal about rotary engines and I’m beginning to pull my hair out lol am I best taking it to a specialist and getting it fixed or shall I keep trying to figure it out myself
