1990 Vert 13 B starts but will not continue to run

My 1990 vert starts but will not continue to run, I started it 2 days ago and it ran fine, came out today take it to town. It starts but will not continue to run,


I'm lost please help....

start with the basics. check the fuel supply. when was your last filter change?

not sure I believe it was changed around 4-5000 miles if that, Prior owner had serviced before I purchased

removed and tested MAF and now it cranks but does not fire??

I believe I'm getting fuel I checked the output side of the fuel filter while cranking and have fuel there

was checking to see if I have spark and found bad spark plug ...will have to continue when I get new plugs...

cleared codes rechecked had error code 14 , replaced ECU , then I believe it was flooded; did the deflood procedureds....

Now back to my original issue ...... cranks and starts , but will not continue to run when you disengage the starter..

well, i had to look those up

RX7 FD & Series 5 Error Codes

everything you listed seems to revolve around the intake and fuel systems. i truly have no idea if any or all of them would prevent the engine from running though.

how sure are you that the ECU you just put in is in good shape?

It's working better then the on I took out........

I'm not getting any error codes at this time
I do have another ECU that has not been installed since it came from rebuild
