start with the basics. check the fuel supply. when was your last filter change?

skiman 06-01-15 05:03 PM

not sure I believe it was changed around 4-5000 miles if that, Prior owner had serviced before I purchased

skiman 06-02-15 06:31 AM

removed and tested MAF and now it cranks but does not fire??

diabolical1 06-02-15 11:29 AM

are you getting fuel?

skiman 06-07-15 03:59 PM

I believe I'm getting fuel I checked the output side of the fuel filter while cranking and have fuel there

skiman 06-07-15 05:02 PM

was checking to see if I have spark and found bad spark plug ...will have to continue when I get new plugs...

skiman 06-14-15 01:26 PM

ok checking the error code here is what I think I see 23; 34 , and 41....

skiman 06-16-15 08:44 AM

cleared codes rechecked had error code 14 , replaced ECU , then I believe it was flooded; did the deflood procedureds....

Now back to my original issue ...... cranks and starts , but will not continue to run when you disengage the starter..

well, i had to look those up :)

RX7 FD & Series 5 Error Codes

everything you listed seems to revolve around the intake and fuel systems. i truly have no idea if any or all of them would prevent the engine from running though.

how sure are you that the ECU you just put in is in good shape?

skiman 06-16-15 02:45 PM

It's working better then the on I took out........

I'm not getting any error codes at this time
I do have another ECU that has not been installed since it came from rebuild
