Hi, I have a 1990 gtu automatic, all stock...my question is i changed belts and Thermostat and hoses, before it started and ran no problem...now it starts rough, wont idle and smokes...after changing belts and hoses to try to maintain it according to the web site...very frustrating...and the check engine light is on..I have to check it out but has anyone had this problem before?

For starters check error codes and of course go over what you did for at least one thing can't possibly be right.
