1989 FC rx7 NA sitting for 10 years
Hey guys I’m new to this page, so I have started working on my dads rx7 that he left sitting in our garage for about 10 years there’s a electrical problem but the engine can crank and has compression I was just wondering on what my first few steps should be towards so I can get this car running
ive tried starter fluid and it almost started a couple of times but still couldn’t

Sounds like if it's nearly running on starting fluid then you have some kind of spark, and some kind of compression. You're missing the fueling.
Start by checking your fuses. Then pull the feed line from the fuel pump and crank, see if you're getting flow. There's a good chance the pump might be seized up.
I'd also pull the plugs and inspect them.
Make sure the oil is topped off, coolant full.
Start checking all the vacuum hoses for dry rot or splitting. Air leaks will mean even if the car gets fuel it won't run super well.
