Exclamation 19888 turbo2 swap

ok so i was driving my car home the other day and for some reason i cant rev past 2500-3000rpm no matter how far i push the gas down. it will just start shaking and bog. but it will stay running. so it cant be a plug? i was thinking to check the coil packs.. i do notice some oil smoke coming near my turbo. could this be the problem. because i know if i have a boost leak the car wont even run for some reason? is that all turbo'd rx7's? any assistance here would be greatly appreciated im stooped on this one

i have both n332 and rtek 1.7 n332. same problem with either. I'm going to test the injector wires tomorrow. the car did have rodent droppings in the engine bay when i bought it. i did inspect the harness thoroughly before installing, but better to double check before i get more serious. ive seen many posts on this but never really the same solution.

To both of you...

What emissions wiring harness was used (original NA or TII), and are both engines S4? Hopefully everything is S4 TII including the ECU (N332/333), boost sensor (N318) & AFM (N318).

If you want to check all of the injectors for power, remove the panel covering the ECU. On the smallest plug there are 4 light green wires (LG, LG/W, LG/R, LG/B). Each of these should have 12V if the key is 'ON' or the engine is running. The S4 FSM has a breakdown of all ECU pins and testing procedures in the Fuel and Emissions section. You can test other components like the boost sensor while in the area.

Sounds like a AFM issue. I would check the harness and test the part out.

my harness is the N/A harness. the motor is also s4. ill be able to get to the car later today after work. so ill pick up an ohms meter on my way home and test all the sensors. im still going to take my uim off and clean up the grounds and check the injector wires again. as a side note i have all my emissions removed. i do have 720cc injectors that are supposed to be drop in, but when they wouldn't come online i put the stock back in to see if they were in fact high impotence. but no change. so, on to testing. ill get back to you guys, thanks for the help so far.
