1988 rx7 AE w/ 1200 Original miles
Hi everyone, my name is Cody and I live in Coos Bay, Oregon. Back in 1988 my grandparents bought a 1988 rx7 AE from a friend who got in over their head. They placed the car in their heated basement under a cover and there it has sat...until recently. The heated basement acted as a true time capsule and the car has 1200 original miles on it, smells brand new and even has the paper floor mats still in it.
Well...my grandparents have now both passed away and we are trying to figure out what to do with the car. We had the car towed out of the garage because the tires were no good as result of sitting for over 20 years. The car now runs perfectly and as previously stated has only 1200 miles on it. Everything is in pristine condition.
Things that were done to get it running after sitting for 20 years:
new fuel pump
gas tank removed and cleaned out
new battery
new intake gasket
cleaned fuel injectors
new tires
Now our question is...how much is this car worth? I've looked at KBB but I know the desirability of this car is high, especially since only 1500 were made. THe VIN # is 0624012 Any input is greatly appreciated. Pics soon to follow!

Probably about $10K to the right person. However finding that person is going to be the problem. Maybe email Jay Leno? He has a soft spot for rotarys and might be interested.
