1988 FC3C Fuel Injector Help
Hello all. I have just purchased an 88 vert. Nice car with a few issues I'll be working through in the next several weeks.
I've read through most of the items on Aaron Cake's page as well as the FAQ on this site.
One of the things I'd like to do is replace the fuel injectors as I believe the leaking by and flooding the car causing hard starting. I noted that my car calls for "high square offset, 460cc, purple, 195500-1350" injectors.
Parts Geek shows several reman injectors for the 13B here.
Rock Auto shows a new part here.
I just want to make sure that I buy the right parts. Looks like I'll need two of them. I'd also like to replace the Pulsation Dampener at the same time and have seen reference to a better after-market version, but don't know where to order one. Any advise would be appreciated.

All 86+ 13b's have four injectors, two primaries (on center iron of shortblock) and two secondaries (on Lower Intake Manifold).
"High Square Offset" means High Impedance, Square Offset keyway tab. If the impedance matches, you can substitute any S4NA injector for yours. Please see the information here for details: http://mazdatrix.com/c-6.htm

Thanks for the info. At $200 per injector for OEM I was hoping to get some specific direction on the two aftermarket sources I listed.
Although they list injectors as being for an 88 FC3C, they don't have all the correct verbiage in the description. I don't want to splice connectors or have the flow volume not be correct.
If anyone has experience with aftermarket fuel injectors on an S4NA I'd be interested in hearing from about it.

Injectors hardly ever go bad.
If you send then to www.injector-rehab.com (Kgparts.com) Keith can clean them up and send them back to you in a decent time frame.(I sent mine from Canada and it was a 9 day turn around!)He will also supply the appropriate O-rings and grommets needed to reinstall them and have them leak free.
Cost is about 25 per injector.(ask him though.)
NOTE: the 88's are HI impedance injectors (about 12 ohms).The harness has NO resistor pack.
The 86 to 87.5 cars have a Resistor pack and use the LO impedance injectors.
The "bonus" about this is IF you are stuck with injectors on the 86-87.5 models that you "can" use the 88 injectors by using the appropriate injector connectors and bypassing the resistor pack.
You can't do this the other way around as the 88 harness has no connector for this resistor pack.
