1988 FC convertible Power windows wont work at all

i have been informed prior to buying my car that this is a common problem and that it can generally be solved by adding a relay in line with the switch. Also when i was reading through the FAQ I found the thread related to Electrical issues and Relay fixes, however that was on my laptop and i had to shut it down and now i dont have the page anymore, and i have been searching for it and i really have no clue as to why i cant find it, if anyone could post the link to it it wouyld be greatly appreciated im sorry for my insolence.

Well, a thread detailing how to open up the switches and clean the contacts is here in the 2nd gen archive: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/power-window-switch-write-up-766218/.

And this thread has info on rigging up 4 relays to control the windows: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...t=window+relay. Search the 2nd gen section thread titles to turn up others.

Start off by checking the condition of the 30 amp Power Window fuse. If good the Black/Red wire at the driver switch will have power w/key to on. Do this simple check and get back to us.
