1988 convertible sitting for 10 years, approx cost to run

Hey guys my father used to drive this rx7 but let it sit in the yard for 7 years covered and then when the tarp broke it spent 1 year uncovered before we moved it to the garage. He didn't drain any of the fluids or take any preparation in storing it one day he just stopped driving it and now it doesn't start (We tried swapping a different battery in).

He told me if I fixed it I could have it. I'm looking for a ball park estimate on how much it could cost to get it back up and running. I'm looking for something like a best and worst case scenario

eg: best case scenario it needs x y and Z done which will cost $X
Worst case scenario it needs A through Z done which will cost $XXXX

Not sure if you can estimate the costs without seeing what it needs but if you could that would be great.
Thanks in advance

Can you elaborate on the "doesn't start" symptom?

Does it turn over and never catch, or not turn over at all?

Are you able to turn the engine over by hand?

Bare minimum you will need to flush the fuel system (look inside the tank to see if it is gummed up), have the injectors serviced, new spark plugs, new thermostat, replace all hoses and belts, oil and filter change, fuel filter change.

You will probably need to replace the vacuum lines under the upper intake and possibly the rubber fuel lines.

But before spending any money, the best thing you can do is get it to turn over so you can do a compression test.
