1987 mazda rx7 problem need help.....

I have a 1987 rxz turbo and I am having starting issues. The first time I start my car it will run great, but after I shut it off and try to restart it wont start. I tryed replaceing the battery no it still does the same thing. I was thinking it might be the fuel pressure regulator but I not sure. I smell fuel after I start it and it runs for awhile. so it must be flooding and not being able to restart because it is flooded. Where do I start to trouble shoot and figure this out any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you smell gas it should be flooding.
you gotta pop the hood and pull out the EGI COMP fuse.

then get inside hold down the gas and turn the ignition for 15- 20 seconds. it shouldn't start.
remember to hold the gas the whole time.

put the fuse back in try and start agian, but NO gas pedal. if it doesn't work repeat.

i have an 87 NA, but i think it's the same for t2s also.

Flooding. Sending the injectors out to be cleaned can help or get rid of it.
