1985 RX7 Clutch problems

Alright everyone, a 1985 RX7 GSL has fallen into my lap and is in pretty rough condition; amongst the most serious problems is a non-functioning clutch pedal. When the clutch pedal is depressed, there is no resistance in the pedal and it goes straight to the floor of the vehicle and will not "snap" back into the non-depressed position, but rather stays on the floor. Needless to say, one cannot switch gears or get the vehicle moving on its own power. My suspicion is the master and slave cylinders have gone bad but just want to make sure I'm looking in the right direction before I spend time and money on replacing them. I appreciate your input. Thanks.
Bobby

Hydraulics will be the problem. It could be a leak, or just a large amount of air in the system.
