1985 12A Engine Temps - Runs cool even with new T-stat
Got a 85 GSL 12A & going thru the car addressing issues. One thing that's odd to me is the car runs cool.
On the temp gauge, its 1/4 way up.
With an IR point & shoot thermometer, it's 150 on the center steel spacer. I put a new, high quality thermostat from SurfSide & it's still running 150 between the rotors & its 135 at the back of the motor & 165 at the steel area at the front of the motor.
I have a RB Holley set-up I'm about to try & tune in but I think the motor should be 180* so I want to figure this out first.
Shouldn't the motir run warmer?
