WA 1980 Rx-7 Oil

Can somebody tell me a good brand of non-synthetic oil I can use for a 1st gen?
If you can include the weight, that would be nice too.

Depends on where you live, if you're down where the weather is pretty consistent and you don't really ever worry about starting below freezing, Castrol GTX 20W50 is pretty much the majority vote on Dino Oils, everyone has their own opinion and if you'd like to run a search for it you'll find a LOOONNGGGGGGGG topic providing cases for all different types of oil.

also in the owners manual (if you have one) it will give you a recommendation on weights depending on temps of were you live.

For first gens as well [atleast on my '84] you can open the hood and there is a sticker on the underside of the hood devoted specifically to oil weights and gear lubes.

Dunno if it all changes between models but this is mine:

I used to run Castrol, with no issues. But since Autozone started carrying Lucas oil, I've started using that. So far, I've loved every product that they make.

Yea I've heard that lucas oil is really good, do they make non-synthetic oils for Rx-7's?

The only Lucas motor oil that I've seen was non-synthetic. They might also make a synthetic version though, not sure.
