This morning I was driving my 1980 rx7, and I was cruising along in 5th gear, everything fine. Then all of a sudden I had no power at all, I had to pull over and couldn't even take off in 1st gear, It would die, and didn't sound good.
I was in the middle of nowhere and had no service so I was stranded! I sat there for about 15 minutes before I was going to start walking, decided to try one last time. I started it up and it was back to normal, sounded and felt great. And I made it home.
My question, is what could this have been? I have been havin some carb issues, where the secondaries have been kickin in about half the time. Would this be another carb issue? Or fuel pump? Possibly something else??

Sounds like it is either an ignition issue (failing ignitor) or a fuel pump issue.
