17'' tire sizes w/stockish suspension

I recently purchased a set of 17x8 +15 fronts and 17x9 +20 rears for my 88 with a stockish setup suspension. I am running Tanabe gf210 springs wrapped around KYB-AGX "adjustable" shocks. My question is assuming I am running a 225 wide tire, what series would be safest to run without running into problems with clearence issues? I would like as much sidewall as a 17 is capable of providing without rubbing springs. I already have plans of rolling fenders should the issue arise. Any suggestions, info would be fantastic. thankyou.

Would you need spacers and adjust the camber?
