My buddy is in the process of opening up a shop in Gardena. He has rebuilt his and his brothers FD. I'm actually thinking about working with him on getting me a blown FC and just rebuilding the engine together.

oh cool.. yeah i wouldn't go to Mazdatrix cause they are abit pricey ...i know theres Rotary Power in Gardena too they are notorious for rotary repair and rebuilds..so your friend is gonna really open a shop or thinking about it?

Rotaryevolution here on the forum is from Las Vegas and has done many rebuilds.

Also rotaryresurrection from Tennessee, aka www.rotaryresurrection.com has done many rebuilds and has good prices.

As far as local builders to you, you may want to wait until you have enough posts to make a thread in your regional section to find a closer builder.

I've hear lucky7 is really good from a few ppl and I know he has a FC he tracks which is awesome(I believe 2nd gens are his expertise but dose any rotary). Jeff from rotary power is good too he knows his stuff but can be busy since its a small shop. The new shop in Gardena sounds cool ..I talked to the guy who started the shop here on the forum he seems legit. Do some HW and see who you preffer. Good luck.

I've heard good things about rotary power. One of my friends got his fd rebuilt there. I was going to get my rebuilt there on my 1988 turbo 2 10th anniversary but like what 84specialedition said theyre busy for a small shop. I live in long beach and mazdatrix is too expensive to get anything done there. I've actually got my rebuild from lucky7. It's been about a year since my rebuild and it's still runs perfect. He told me 2500 but it depends also on what else your car needs(new clutch, housings, rotors, etc). Hope this helps. Good luck
