13b- s6 not starting
good day everyone
so i am new to this forum and the rotary engine in general and i have found myself in a runt.
my name is mike and i am from trinidad, for those who havent heard about it, its a little island in the carribbean.
my car is a fc series 4 rx 7, had it a couple years now. when i initially bought it the car had no motor, so i installed a 13b-rew (series 6), coupled up with a series 5 manual gear box. the engine worked great up until recent, when i decided it was time for me to start doing upgrades.
i decided to change the stock twin turbos, and went with a single turbo. the turbo of choice was the garrett t04z with an 84 backend. the main reason for the change was that the coolant lines to the twins had developed a leak and after having remove them to repair the leak i decided to change the turbo one time.
with the turbo upgrade i installed a front mount intercooler, a 44 mm tial wastegate, and a rotary works intake elbow. thats all the upgrades for now. keep in mind the engine is stock, never rebuilt.
after all that was done the engine has begun to hard start. when i say hard start, i mean i have to tumble continueously for a very long time for the engine to start. when its started there is no problems. the car works ok. i changed plugs, checked all connections to see if anything was unjacked, but everthing seems ok. the only thing outstanding is that there are some vaccum lines that are open (from the twins removal)
i am asking for some suggestions of things i could check or what could probably be the problem. i know there are the rotary gods out there. so any help would be appreciated.

Poke a couple holes in a straw..put your straw in a drink.
Now,try to suck the beverage up...

THAT is what your engine is going through.It's trying to get the gas to start but can't because it is sucking air (Vacuum leaks.)
Fix the vacuum leaks and that will alleviate a lot of problems

Thanks guys, I already started capping off the open ends. I have to do a detailed run through once more to make sure I didn't miss any. In d mean time I did a compression test and got 80 psi on both rotors. I also changed the plugs and put all 7s and got the engine to start. Not sure if it jus started because of the amount of times I attempted to start it, so I'll try it out later when I reach home from work.

*^What they said about vacuum leaks. Once started I'm guessing your idle is probably high and loping as well.
*Not a "rotary god", but along with the single turbo you need increased fuel capacity, bigger injectors and increased capacity pump with appropriate fuel pressure regulator. Along with a professional tune. You didn't mention it so I thought I would.
*You should AT LEAST go back to the stock heat range plugs. Can't think of any reason all 7's would be appropriate. With that single, maybe all 9's.
*80 psi is low-end compression and also probably some of your hard-starting issue, especially when hot.
btw, I know where Trinidad is. Never been. But have been diving at Curacao and St Martin. Maybe one day soon.
