BC 13B - REW 88 N/A Peak Torque vs RPM

So basically, I've been poking around trying to find out the peak torque in a stock 88' GXL, and where in my Rev band it is. For anyone who wants to know, yes, I do want to know where it is for the purpose of drifting. If any of you know good techniques to use on a N/A I'd love to hear those to. Sadly I've been unable to find a place to practice so far because of the prevailance of cops and the density of the city of Vancouver. Also I don't want dents messing up my bodywork any worse than it is. (Currently its repairable.) So that take gravel pits or hard dirt out of the picture.

Cheers

From the FAQ: 86-88 NA = 146 HP @ 6500 RPM w/ 138 Ft/lb @ 3500 RPM

An NA rotary is not peaky like many piston engines, so the torque curve is very flat from ~3500 to ~6500 RPM. You can also look in the 2nd gen dyno section for curves.

Also, unless you have replaced the engine in the car, you do not have a 13B-REW. That would be the engine from a 3rd gen RX-7, which never came NA.

Which version is it then?

Oh also, does anyone know the largest rim size that will comfortably fit an 88 GXL? I was looking at some 18's with lowpro tires obviously. I'm not sure 18s would be ok though.

It's just a "13b".

And 17" rims generally look better in my opinion. Some 18s can look good, but a lot of the time they just end up looking out of place.
