13B-re Swap

hey, rite now i have a '90 N/A GXL, and im thinking about doing a 13B-RE swap, remove the stock twin turbo, and add a custom one, with new lsd, coilovers, stage II clutch. what else should i do, or is this a horrible idea?

Well, you'll need a full standalone and fuel system upgrade to make this work.

It is slightly more straightforward to swap the S5 13BT. Why not go to that approach? The exhaust ports in the RE are very small and limit top end power.

sounds like a good plan but compare how much will you spend on doing that swap plus the aftermarket parts you need+labor(wiring, etc.) to the 2nd gen swap with the same parts.
how much power difference, is it gonna be worth it.

good luck with the route you choose.
