12A turbo questions

I've seen that some of the 12A's are turboed. The cosmo had a stock setup but how do guy's that turbo their 12A's control it? Is there a PNP ECU out there for the 12A or something?

pnp ECU? doubtful ....

HERE is some info. It was also available in the 3rd Generation Cosmo (HBs).

my opinion: unless you were to pick one of those cars up and chose to restore it, if you want a turbocharged 12A, you'd probably be better served building your own.

How do you run a turbo setup on a 12A though? you'd have to go injected which means that you'd have to have an ecu. Are there any for 12A's? what if you ran a different turbo than what was on the stock 12A turbo rx7's and cosmos?

you don't NEED fuel injection. there are plenty of carbureted setups out there. you just need to know what you're doing when building a setup. that said, it is my opinion that EFI is the way to go. you have way too many options these days to turbocharge on a carbie.

you can run any turbo you want (within reason for your goals) and any EMS you want (within your budget).
