OR 12a Metered oil blockoff

I have a 1st Gen racecar and want to remove the metered oil injection pump and lines. I know where to get the block off plate.. But.. Can I just remove the pump and put in a block off plate? or do I need to add something in there? Same with at the carb. Can I remove the injectors and put in plugs? or just cap the injectors?
Thanks

Basically, you remove the pump and install the blockoff plate. Then plug the nipples on the carb. That's it. Oh, and don't forget to premix 2 stroke oil into your fuel at a 1:150 ratio.

I think the pump on my car is toasted anyways, (just air bubbles come up the lines) so I've been pre mixing since I got the car.
Thanks

Weird. Metering oil pumps never fail.

I have a spare front engine cover piece, and I can see that the shaft that the oil injection pump runs off of can move out further than it otherwise could without the pump in place. Will this cause any damage to the gear that turns that and the distributor? this concern is the only reason I haven't made a block off plate yet.
