I recently purchased a 83 12a engine but housings have suffered from sitting. what would be a good source for some good housings, or to get them resurfaced ? and I will in the future be looking for seala and gaskets. And would like to know a good place to purchase them. Also if your apex seals are within tolerance can you reuse them? springs and corner seals also. I have read on this site you guys are doing that?

 

I can't answer all of your questions but, I saw some 12A housings listed for sale in the classifieds. I also found that Mazda OEM parts dealers still sell a lot of the seals and rebuild parts for the 12A.

 

AFAIK all rebuild seals are available from Mazda, but Irons and Housings are NOT. 12a housings are getting hard to come by, and people are starting to use slightly damaged ones with Atkins seals to get their engines going again

If you do find 12a housings in GOOD shape, get ready to pay for them as the price will do nothing but go up
