12A Engine Not Starting
Car would start up within 2 seconds before I went on vacation. 1.5 weeks later I got home and tried to start it, wouldn't start. The car seems like it is turning over slower than usual. The battery is reading 12.7 V. Ended up push starting it down the driveway, runs perfect. Shut it down for a few minutes, and started it back up, no problems. Today (2 days later), I went out to try and start it again, it just turns over, a little bit of smoke is coming from the exhaust. Basically its doing the exact same thing it was before I push started it. Is there a chance the starter took a dump from just sitting? The car is garaged. Battery reads 14.3V with the car running.
I've tried:
Different battery
New set of plugs
Cranking with the charger on the battery
Pulling plugs and spinning motor in case of flooding
This is getting frustrating, once I get something fixed, some other B.S. starts. I finally got the carb tuned a week or two before I left, was running nice. Before that, a problem with the starting solenoid. Before that the fuel pump.

you mentioned that it turned slower after you got back from vacation. was there any change in cranking speed when you tried the other battery and/or the charger?
you can pull the starter and maybe try cleaning it up - both inside and the main power connections. you can do that for free. it has worked for me in the past.
