Its funny how all the people on the honda forum are bblaming the cops and security for all their cars getting stolen. Its their own people who are doing it to them. Staticts(sp?) show the honda car group is a bad crowd.

Think about that one for a second. Everyday people get into accidents because they are careless. Most of the are preventable. This one is one of those situations. The kid that rearended his should lose his liscense for a minimum of 2 years.

Insurance doesnt work too well with these cars, especially if that FD was low mileage/pristine condition. Once a car is hit, it's usually never the same either.

I agree that accidents happen, but this one was 100% preventable.

If I would have been sitting there in my FD minding my own business and that happened, I'd be going to jail for assault because I would have choked that guy out without giving it a second thought.
if it was my girls car i woulda let it go, but if it was my love my FC i woulda been in jail, left the other dude looking like this &

He wasnt paying attention, what was he doing looking at hondas anywhoo there *** draggers, he should of been admiring the FD man

Grrrrr!

I met him in OC in May. It was well before the accident. The accident is recent.

You know at an RX-7 meet I would never worry about my car getting stolen. Hell, I would leave the car open and not worry. At our meets I would almost leave the car running unattended and not worry.

I guess it is different for the Honda meets?

Anyways , that wreck is a real **********.....

Disclaimer - If that FD was a V8...I really don't care...well just a little bit because a nice looking chassis was really jacked up . If it was a V8 to bad the engine didn't GTFO.

^^ so true, we hold car meets over here in NY, CT and we leave our cars open and dont have to worry about anything getting stolen from the car or the car itself. Sometimes i get yelled at cuz im from NYC and im used to locking my car even when im 5 feet away lol.

Rotary ppl are closer knit than honda ppl, mostly cuz we are a small society compared to hondas.

Rotary Famz!

I can see this happening at everymeet with hondas.

If Honda people steal cars just for a ******* fender......they will steal cars at meets.

whats with all the hate that it was an LS1 car? Do you guys think the owner didnt care for his car just as much as you do for yours? (perhaps more given the money outlay)

Lots of unneeded hate here. It was still an FD...

I had to hear about this from my local auto parts store counter guy...I log on today and someone has it on video!
What are the chances? guess thats why theyre called accidents...

Im always looking in the rearview, it saved me of something similar on Friday. I saw the van coming and got out of the way.

Actually, they're supposed to be called crashes or collisions now. As my drivers ed teacher said, there's no unpreventable car crash. none of them are accidents. If we reffered to it as an accident on any papers, she'd give us an F...

And as Goodfella said on the first page, this was completely preventable. The guy was doing (estimated) 60+ in a 25. He was obviously not going anywhere near the posted speed limit.

As per the V8..I still think it's a shame the car got smashed. V8 or Rotary, I hate to see another FD go down. Besides, I could have swapped a 13B-REW into that thing and made it a beast

Wow man. You know how pathetic and little you make yourself sound with that statement? You should just sell your car and get a Kia, because you're obviously not a car enthusiast.
