Hi guys, i'll be arriving in Arlington, VA and will be attending my meeting/training at the American Red Cross HQ in DC are on June 20 and 21st. I was wandering if is there any peeps that wants to hang out with me with their RX7. I really hope i can have the chance to sit on one of RX7 that have T-78 or T-88 turbo installed on it, to get the feeling as right now i'm considering to do a single turbo or an LS1 swap. Have not decided which way i'll be taking and i hope that after hanging out with you guys, i'll know what i want to do.

 

I'm local and have a Apexi RX6 you are more than welcome to take a spin

 

I don't know about sitting on the car, but if you went for a ride in my FD you'd want to do an LS1 swap

 

i'm sorry, i mean went for a spin with the NE forum members FD for a spin. A lot of other forum members that i PM also told me to go for a spin with their LS1 RX7 conversion.but the sad thing is i'm not living in or around that area.

maybe i can hang out with you guys as long as you guys tell me the direction to it as i'll be renting a car from the airport. I'll be bringing my digital camera and camcorders. So i hope i'm going to have a blast with you guys this coming 20th and 21st.

I live a few miles from Dulles airport, Where are you flying into ?

My T78 FD is street worthy but no idea what my schedule is like.

 

as of right now, there's 2 airports i'll be arriving, one of the airport is at Reagan National Airport and the other one is Dulles Airport. The travel agents still have not confirm with me yet though as she's still trying to schedule a total of 75 people that'll be flying to Arlington, V.A. I guess she's goiing to let me know on the 18th.

I suppose I could get mine back together this week and ready for the weekend! It's been a combination of work and lack of motivation keeping me from getting it back together...oh yeah and its a t-78 FD so you should get a good feeling if thats the route you would like to go or not...

A3ON7, welcome to the area. youll find that having fun with your car will be quite difficult b/c of the Fairfax county cops and the ENDLESS traffic. but its not all that bad... there are drag strips (both 1/4mile and 1/8mile) within at most an hours drive... and road courses in southern VA and West VA. theres also some weekly autocrossing at Fed Ex field every sunday... or so im told.

 

But...good luck getting to any of them w/ our traffic Rated the #1 worst traffic area in the nation

 

Thank you for the warmth reply and I'll not be coming down with my 7 as i'm there for leadership training and meeting at the HQ of American Red Cross.

I know about traffic wise, but hey if i have the chance to meet up with some rotor heads over in that area, i don't mind driving an hour to meet up with you guys and have a blast with you guys talking about cars, hanging out or we can do anything.

 

Friday night car show about two miles from Dulles Airport, typicaly about two or three Fd's. I will make a apperance if you can make it. Post your schedule when it's solid.

i'll be in the area till hopefully sunday, but is not finalise yet though, worst come to worst i'll be there till the 22nd and i would love to go and see those autoshow on friday night.

i juz called hertz, dollar and budget car rental, they're charging around $75/day with taxes and no insurance. which to me is kind of pretty steep price. does any1 have any cheapers recommendation for rental car?
