who is up for Rotary Revolution this year and would like to caravan down?

Well guys,
Its that time of the year again. Rotary Revolution is right around the corner!! Who is up for a caravan this year down. We can all meet up someplace along route 90 (NY state thruway) and caravan down together. It will be a great time. If Jason of the Rx7 store permits, we will be stopping down there along the way to meet up with another caravan. We usually leave some time late thursday night really early friday mourning. Well, if your interested, chime in!!
Adam

The easiest ruite is straigt on I90 which is in the center of NY. You are a little far away to meet up with us. You can if you want though.

I'm leaving from the Harrisburg area. (Probably right along the line you'll be taking to Indy anyway.) Someone slap together a plan and I'm in.

Yeah, we should def. hook up with the Jersey crew. But you NY guys should be coming close enough to us at some point to join together. If we all meet up with the Ohio people in Columbus, that'd work too. I can't wait!

And 90 mph synchronized lane-changing better be part of the deal!

If you guys really want to coordinate this, someone volunteer, sign up at ohiorotaries.com and keep in touch with me. OhioRotaries is running all of our people who are going in a group. Depeding on timing anyone coming from east of us is more than welcome to tag up with our group and roll out there.

Are you guys all going to meet up in Columbus, at the rx7store? It makes a great place for everyone to meet. Its like a straight shot from columbus to indy!!
This sounds like a sweet plan.

The plan right now is to have our NE (Cleveland, Akron, Canton) people meet locally. That group meets up with the Columbus people @ RX-7Store, and then both groups meet up with the Dayton/Cincy people just west of Dayton before we cross the border.

Thats the plan anyway.

Well, those of us doing the straight shot from central PA or NJ would probably take 70, which will put us right on the way to the RX7Store. If we could time our trip just right....

Whoever ends up coordinating the NJ ppl, could you keep the PA folks posted on the route? Maybe the turnpike would be the best option. Not that I like to support PennDOT's work, but it would be right along Philly (for Ashley) and Harrisburg (for me.) It wouldn't be too much of a stretch from Allentown (rx7 punk) I don't think. I guess we 3 could all meet up at a common exit and wait for the NJ caravan so it's not 3 separate additions (thus creating 3 different ways to miss the group.)
There's other PA ppl registered. Anyone know where they're coming from?

I agree, the turnpike would be best probably.

If the Jersey caravan takes the Jersey turnpike to the PA turnpike, then I could meet up with them at the rest stop before King of Prussia/Valley Forge. Then we can all meet up with you at an exit near you in Harrisburg, then continue on to meet the Ohio crew.

This would be even better if the southern NY people meet up with the Jersey people....

Chime in, NJ and NY and PA people! I'll be happy to organize this if you all chime in with your locations in this thread!

NO breaking stuff on the way... we need all the cars we can get in the Rotary Challenge Friday night... The locals are really chomping at the bit (and on their chew) to take on some fast rotary cars...

bah, c'mon don't tell me you all procrastinate like i do...

well my plan is to take the turnpike then I-70. i'm leaving my area (harrisburg) around 10 so i might run into the guys from the rx7 store and hit indy right around 6. so that's my game plan right now. i'd be the last car in the caravan so if one gets put together i'm flexible with what times you want/need to leave. anyway, be nice if you see an off-white '84 on the way.
